Ya know, my success in the NBA over the years has led him to start attending WNBA games since the pandemic "ended" and the women came out of the bubble in Florida.
I spent 2021 learning the nuances of the women's game from a pro handicapping standpoint, rather than a fan's point of view, and really paid attention for the first time since the Detroit Shock left Michigan. Considering my locale is in Michigan, my sole intention that season was to visit as many arenas as I could, vowing to watch two different teams until I'd see every team at least once somehow, somewhere.
Last year I experimented with a starting bankroll of $10,000, moving percentages here and there, and finished with the WNBA Finals between Connecticut and Las Vegas netting me a nice return to bring the final WNBA bankroll to nearly $16,000. It's not overwhelming, but it's a 60% return on investment for something I did not invest in every day.
While I've made money over the years in the WNBA sporadically, and I've been fully vested since the 2021 season, and it's time the public get a piece of the action. This is the simplest and best way to let you know how strongly I feel about a selection each day, or how one selection compares to others on a given day.
And keep this in mind: If I'm showing a profit of 300 dimes (wins minus losses plus vig included), that means a gambler betting $10 per dime unit I released won $3000 as well (and that includes the losses and vig being subtracted).
Who is Jack Brayman?
Had a pretty successful 8-year run as a real estate broker here in Michigan where I'm based.
Then came 2008 and the recession.
Business tanked with the economy.
It finally started to rebound around 2013, but it's never going to be the same.
To make ends meet, I took a job as a ghost-writer for a online tip-sheet, proving my daily sports picks for their publications starting in 2010. You probably read my stuff because it was posted on a zillion sites designed to attract gamblers so they'd sign up for offshore sportsbook accounts.
I loved doing it and without it I don't know how I would have survived those lean years in the real estate biz.
I like to write and minored in English in college. I majored in business and "dabbled" in gambling as well.
I eventually gave up my ghost-writing job and joined this site. Consequently, this is the 1st time my picks are available anywhere with MY name on them.
