Back on the ice for another BIG winner to close out the weekend.

As you know, I am NOT a daily hockey handicapper, but when I see a play worth betting, that's when I am live.

That happens to be tonight.

My goal is simple. Find small favorites and underdogs that will grow the hockey bankroll. It's a long season; there are going to be peaks and valleys.

Let's get to that peak again tonight on the ice.

Mitchell LaCroix's Rating System

Stars and Diamonds. Platinum, Gold and Silver. What does it all mean? I see all these guys (not at this site) in this business rating plays so many different ways. I've come to the conclusion they do it to hide their losses behind their dozens of ratings.

I like how guys here just use this "dime" system. It's so easy to understand.

If a 100 Dime play is my Max Wager, then a 50 Dime play is worth half that amount; a 25-Dimer is one-quarter.

What is the "amount" you ask? Well that's up to you and the size of your personal bankroll. If you've got $50 to play today and I've got a 50 Dime play, it's worth $25.

That's easy enough.

Who is Mitchell LaCroix?

I hail from the Edmonton area. I was born well after The Great One abandoned the Oilers for the Kings, but that didn't mean I wasn't a huge hockey fan.

My pops and grandfather played hockey all their lives and were passionate Oilers' fans during their Stanley Cup days. I remember hitting the ice for the first time when I was around 3 years old. Played in my first organized league (we call it a Mite league) when I was just turning 8. Skated and played up through the midget ranks until I was around 17.

I wasn't a great player. I had no future, but I loved the game. And I still love it as a handicapper.

I could care less about football, hoops, or any other sport. The NHL is the only sport I've ever handicapped. Been doing it since I knew what betting was all about. As someone who was raised on the sport and played it for years, I believe it gives me more insight than guys who just dabble in it when they can't find anything to release in other sports
